About Us
The Agriculture & Science Early College, established in 2017, is an innovative high school in cooperation with Mitchell Community College. It is one of three early college high schools in Iredell-Statesville Schools. Students complete a five-year program to earn their high school diploma and a two-year college degree or college transfer credits.

In 2017, Iredell-Statesville Schools and Mitchell Community College envisioned a new opportunity for the Northern End of Iredell County and ASEC was born. The Agriculture & Science Early College (ASEC) is an incredible program with an amazing school community where students earn a high school diploma along with an Associates Degree. I have the honor of serving as the principal at this incredible school and I am proud of what we offer students everyday. As a Cooperative Innovative High School, over 80% of our school consists of first generation college students, students needing an academic stretch and at-risk students. We offer smaller class sizes, rigorous instruction and high levels of accountability as we ask our students to become college ready in their freshmen year. ASEC is truly a special place and I consider myself fortunate to be a part of it.
