The 2019-2020 school year will be the third year of operation for the Agriculture & Science Early College (ASEC), and I have been the principal since the school opened.  Prior assignments within Iredell-Statesville Schools include being an assistant principal, career development coordinator and teacher at North Iredell High.  I was also an assistant principal at Lakeshore Middle School.

Iredell-Statesville Schools and Mitchell Community College envisioned a new opportunity for the northern Iredell County area. Our school was designed to offer students throughout the county an option to earn an Associate's degree while in high school.  The district also recognized the need for an institution that would encourage interest in agriculture and promote this very important part of our economy. Along with their high school diploma, students can earn an Associate of Applied Science in Agribusiness. While agriculture is one area of focus for our students, they may instead pursue an Associate of Arts or an Associate of Science degree in the major of their choosing.

ASEC is focused on meeting the needs of our students, and we strive to improve on delivering those services each semester.
